Humbaba - An excerpt from the Epic of Gilgamesh is a short film of a comtemporary interpretation of the oldest recorded work of literature. It began as an artist in school Project with artist Megan Evans and Diane Zobel the art teacher at Doreen Primary School Victoria. Students at Doreen made the art work on the story. Megan and Diane then travelled to Soweto South Africa where they worked with the children at Sabela Sizwe. Both groups of children have faced hardship. Doreen with the recent Black Saturday bushfires and Sabela Sizwe with the struggle to survive. This project is a good example of a global collaborative educational project.
